FAQs
How do I prepare for body waxing?
To prepare for body waxing services stop shaving two weeks prior to your appointment. Mildly exfoliate your skin 24-48 hours before your appointment and don’t forget to moisturize!
Can I wax while I’m pregnant?
Absolutely! Waxing is safe while pregnant-unless you’re directed otherwise by your doctor. Pregnancy can make you more sensitive so the earlier you get on a consistent waxing schedule the better!
How long does a brow tint last?
Your brow tint will last anywhere from 2-6 weeks and depends on how light you are when you come in, how dark you go, skin type, and lifestyle. The tint may stain the skin initially for 1-3 days, after this the color will only remain on the hairs.
How long should I grow out my brows before waxing?
4 weeks of growth is ideal but the longer you grow them out prior to your first appointment the better! With more growth we can install a more prominent shape, but not to worry- even if you don’t have much growth we will get them there with time and consistency!
Why should I wax over shaving?
Waxing removes the hair by the root where as shaving just trims it back. With consistent waxing over time the hair grows back sparser, finer, and leaves you smoother longer! No shave stubble and a softer smoother feel.
Can I wax if I have sensitive skin?
Absolutely, the wax used is safe on all skin types. If you are still nervous let me know and we can perform a test strip to ease your mind! It is recommended to stop using skin thinning or acne related topicals 3 days prior and 3 days post wax (Retin-A, Differin gel, etc). If you are on Accutane or have been in the last 6 months you can not receive waxing services.
